3a. TikTok Integration
SideQuest AI uses the TikTok Content Posting API to enable creators to publish content directly to their TikTok accounts through our platform.
When you connect your TikTok account:
- You authorize SideQuest AI through TikTok's official OAuth 2.0 flow — we never see or store your TikTok password
- We receive your public profile information (username, display name, avatar) to display within the app
- We receive a temporary access token (valid for 24 hours) to post content on your behalf
- We request only the permissions needed: user.info.basic and video.publish
Data handling:
- Access tokens are used only during your active session and are not stored permanently on our servers
- Video files you upload are transmitted directly to TikTok and are not retained by SideQuest AI after posting
- You can revoke SideQuest AI's access at any time through TikTok's Connected Apps settings
Your use of TikTok through SideQuest AI is also subject to TikTok's Privacy Policy and TikTok's Terms of Service.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Quiz data is retained to personalize your experience. You may request deletion at any time by emailing us.
